Wasgamuwa _ 2🍂

I posted a description of a visit to wasgamuwa national park the other day. I described the ecological beauty and diversity of the place.

Today I am writing about how people have destroyed the environment surrounding wasgamuwa national park. Below are photos of some of the devastating things I saw while going there. 

                              

Many people came to the river for fun. I saw the plastic ,polythene ,glass bottles,beer tin they  had left behind. Large trees had been cut down for timber.

The ecosystem has also been damaged by villagers near the forest. When I went there I also saw one person going to the river to dump sand. The sand he had collected was piled up in one place. It can be seen that the river banks have been eroded due to sand mining.

Such activities are prohibited in the park. Care must be taken not a destroy such a beautiful ecosystem.
